Personal Statement

I aspire to share my passion in music with people of all ages, ranging from pre-kindergarten to beyond, through general music education, singing, piano/keyboard, music theory, or choral conducting, in an English language setting.


I established my own private music teaching studio, offering singing, piano, and music theory lessons to students from age 4 onwards. I offer a specialized general music and piano curriculum to children aged 4-6, and cater to students of all ages according to their specific interests and needs. I have organized student recitals, recorded students and produced student performance CDs and DVDs, edit music and sound,  and provided piano accompaniment. Many students participate in Trinity Guildhall music exams, and/or participate in local and international performances and competitions. Key Achievements:

  • Have successfully run my private teaching studio for over 10 years
  • Consistently high marks received by students on Trinity Guildhall exams
  • Students have gone on to prestigious performing arts schools in the UK

Limassol | September 2004 – April 2007

Taught singing, piano/keyboard, and music theory to students aged 4 to adult. In the context of the performing arts school, I was part of the creative development process for rehearsals and performances for the school’s Display Team and the school show. I organized and participated in recording sessions for the students, and also edited, arranged, and orchestrated music. I also organized and taught the curriculum First Steps in Music for mothers with their infants/toddlers.

I taught general music to children from Reception to Year 9, on a part-time basis, following the UK Music Curriculum Standards. I held two after-school music clubs, one each with the juniors and seniors. I taught, accompanied and assisted or directed the Christmas shows for the infants, junior and senior departments, and organized Christmas caroling, as well as organized, taught and directed the year-end musical with Years 3 through 9.
